Welcome two new members to our team: Danni Hu and Jiaxin Zeng! Danni joins us as a graduate student pursuing her Master's degree, while Jiaxin, a recent Master's graduate from Tongji University, joins as a Research Assistant. They both will focus on protein tool development.

While attending the Chinese Neuroscience Society (CNS) 2024 Conference, we took the opportunity to explore Suzhou and Tongli. The cultural excursion proved to be a memorable team-building experience.

Distinguished Seminar by Dr. Michael Z. Lin from Stanford University! The lab is honored to host Dr. Lin's visit to the Institute of Translational Brain Research (ITBR). Dr. Lin, the postdoctoral mentor of our own Yichi, brought his expertise and delivered an inspirational seminar to our institute.

Farewell to Qiyi! Qiyi has accepted an offer from USC. Our lab extends sincere gratitude for her significant contributions, particularly in establishing our molecular cloning platform and screening systems. These advancements have benefited nearly all ongoing projects in our lab. We wish Qiyi continued success in her future endeavors at USC.

Welcome Yibo He, a talented joint graduate student from Zhongshan Hospital (affiliated with the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University), as he pursues his PhD degree. Additionally, Yichi has recently joined Zhongshan Hospital and has been appointed as a dual-affiliated PI.

Field trip to Shanghai Disney Resort!

A project Yichi contributed to has been published in Science Translational Medicine! This work has developed a promising second-generation drug candidate targeting the main protease of SARS-CoV-2. Congratulations to the entire team for their valuable contribution to the field of antiviral drug discovery. Link
