A huge congratulations to Yibo on passing his thesis defense and becoming the first graduate of the MINDSuLab! It is a proud moment for the entire lab to welcome our first Dr. He. To express his gratitude, he generously treated the whole team to a celebratory hotpot lunch — a fitting tribute to a landmark milestone.

Yichi represented the lab at the CBMI-II Meeting in Hong Kong, presenting work by Yibo and Qihui titled Illuminating the Black Box: Bioluminescent Platforms for Non-Invasive Pharmacological Profiling of CNS Drugs. Beyond the science, the trip also offered a welcome opportunity to explore Hong Kong's renowned food scene and scenic hiking trails — a rewarding experience on all fronts.

April

Yichi was invited by Promega to deliver a webinar on Development and Applications of Novel In Vivo Bioluminescence Imaging Technologies. For those who were unable to attend, the recorded session is available via this link and on Bilibili.

The MINDSuLab recently enjoyed a joint hiking excursion with the Tan Lab and Zhou Lab from ITBR at Qionglong Mountain in Suzhou. The group tackled the scenic 'Heart-Shaped Trail' — a moderately accessible route completed in around four hours — and were fortunate to be greeted by clear skies throughout. A wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbouring labs and recharge outside the lab environment.

April

Part of the team attended the 35th Congress of the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) in Chongqing. Dr. Qihui Wan presented a poster, while Yibo was selected to deliver a flash talk — a competitive honour at such a prominent national meeting. It was a rewarding and enriching experience for all members in attendance.

February

As the year draws to a close, the MINDSuLab took a leisurely walk through She Mountain and the Guangfulin Relics Park in Songjiang District — a calm and refreshing outing to unwind after a year of hard work. We wish everyone a restful break ahead of the Lunar New Year, and look forward to another exciting year to come!

January

Yichi was selected to deliver an oral presentation titled Lighting Up the Brain: Next-Generation Bioluminescent Tools for Imaging Neurochemical Dynamics at the Brain Glymphatics and Meningeal Lymphatics Symposium in Shanghai. Being selected for an oral presentation at such a specialised and prestigious symposium is a recognition of the lab's growing contributions to the field. Let the brain glow!
